Student Food Service Workers

Rocky Knoll Health Care Center is looking for 3 Part-time Student Food Service Workers.

Must be in high school and/or college.  Taking one class is acceptable.  Will be primarily working 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. including weekends and holidays.

Assists in preparing foods according to approved menus and recommended recipes as directed by the Cook.

Follows daily regular and therapeutic menus according to portion control, diets, and resident food preferences.

Assists and/or sets up and serves buffet style meal service to all residents on units as assigned.

Serves all residents in accordance with physicians orders in as much as residents are accepting of direction to follow diet order.

Cleans dining areas on units after buffet meal service is complete.

Serves to facility employees, volunteers and visitors according to established procedures.

Assists with the preparation and dishing up of salads, desserts and nourishment's according to approved menus and needs of the residents as directed by the Cook and/or Director of Food Services.

Assists with keeping resident diet cards and kardex updated with physician orders, dietitian recommendations and resident food preferences as directed by the Director of Food Services.

Assists with accurately updating the nourishment/supplement lists for residents as directed.

Assists in the preparation and service of food for meetings, activities or special events as directed.

Delivers nourishment's, and other items to the nursing units as directed.

Cleans and sanitizes all areas in the kitchen including floors, equipment, storage areas, dishes, and other areas as directed.

Works in dish washing room as assigned.

Disposes of garbage as assigned.

Practices proper food handling, sanitation, and safety.

Receives and stores food and supplies as assigned.

Signs invoices as directed.

Perform duties of Food Service Worker II and Cook on first or second shift with proper training.

Participates in continuous quality improvement activities as assigned.

May perform other varied duties/responsibilities as per facility needs.
