Can I get tested for TB at the same time I get a vaccine?

Certain live virus vaccines might affect TB test results. If you need TB testing and live virus vaccines (MMR, Varicella, FluMist nasal spray, yellow fever), choose one of the following two options:

• Get the TB test either before or on the same day as the live virus vaccine(s).

• Get the live virus vaccine(s) first. Then wait 4-6 weeks after the administration of the live virus vaccine to get the TB test.
