The Planning & Conservation Department administers the Wisconsin Deer Donation Program for Sheboygan County. Typically, over 1,000 pounds of venison is donated to local food pantries after each hunting season. This is made possible through the generous donations of area hunters as well as the local meat markets who process the venison at a reduced rate. Unfortunately as of 2023, no local butcheries are participating in this program. If you are interested in participating, perhaps try reaching out to surrounding counties.
