Civil Process Division
The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office Civil Process Division handles the service of legal papers pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 59.27(4) which states, "The Sheriff personally or by the Undersheriff or deputies, serve or execute all processes, writs, precepts and orders issued or made by lawful authority and delivered to the Sheriff."

Papers for service will be accepted at the Sheriff's Office Monday through Friday, 8 A.M. through 4 P.M. (excluding holidays), or the may be mailed to the Sheriff's Office.

Only papers for service within Sheboygan County will be accepted.
Pre-Payment is required for all Civil Process Services. The fees for the service are set by the County Board Resolution.

Court Services Division
The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office Court Services Division primary responsibilities are court room security and prisoner transportation. 5 full-time and 5 part-time deputies are assigned to the Court Services Division. The Sheriff of each county is required by State Statute to be present in Circuit Courts.
The primary assignment is to provide security to the 5 circuit courts and 2 court commissioners. The other primary responsibility is to transport prisoners to and from the courts when needed. When the courts are not in session, the bailiffs provide security to the courthouse, serve civil process and warrants, and assist the Patrol Division when needed.
